Your admin approves Ren once

A Teams admin grants consent through the Microsoft admin center. Ren gets only the permissions it needs, then you add it to the channels you choose.

A private chat with Ren for each person

Everyone gets their own conversation with Ren, a Morning Brief and cards in Teams. What you tell Ren stays between you and Ren.

What Ren sees in Teams, and what it never sees

  • Never direct messages between two people.

Does Ren work in Microsoft Teams?

Yes. Ren works in both Slack and Microsoft Teams, and the experience is the same in both. Each person gets the Morning Brief, cards, and their own private conversation with Ren inside Teams. The web app holds the full view. Teams is available on every plan, including the free credits.

Can Ren read my Teams messages?

Ren sees only the Teams channels and group chats it's added to, plus each person's own chat with Ren. It never reads direct messages between two people. What someone tells Ren is private to them, and leaders and HR see patterns across groups, never a person's conversations.

How do we install Ren in Teams?

A Teams admin grants consent once through the Microsoft admin center, and Ren is granted only the Microsoft Graph permissions it needs. Then Ren can be added to the specific channels you choose. Most teams start with one pilot channel.

Does Ren work with Teams meetings?

Today you can add any meeting, Teams included, to Ren as a transcript, notes, or a short recap. Teams call recaps, Outlook calendars and @Ren in Teams are on the roadmap.
